ICE & CEDAR

Affiliate disclosure

We earn a commission when you buy through our links. Here's exactly how that works and exactly what it does and doesn't change.

Last verified · Ice & Cedar editorial

Ice & Cedar is funded by affiliate commissions. If you click a link on this site and buy something, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. You never pay more for having come through us.

The Amazon Associates statement

Ice & Cedar is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Our Associates tag is iceandcedar-20.

Who we earn from

Everything below is generated from our actual link configuration, so this list cannot drift out of date with what the site really does.

  • Amazon— we earn a commission on qualifying purchases.

We also link to the following brands, and we earn nothing from any of them. We have no affiliate relationship with any of these companies. They appear because they are relevant to the reader, and for no other reason:

Plunge · Ice Barrel · Redwood Outdoors · Almost Heaven Saunas · Harvia · Penguin Chillers

How links work here

Every product link on this site routes through /go/ rather than pointing at a retailer directly. That redirect applies our tag and sends you to the product. It exists so that we can change where a product points — to a better price, or a different retailer — without rewriting the article.

Every earning link carries rel="sponsored nofollow", as Google’s policies require, and every buy button is marked #ad.

What the commission does not buy

This is the part that matters, so it is in plain language.

  • Nobody has paid to appear here. Not one product on this site is included because a brand asked or paid.
  • Nobody has paid to rank here.We do not sell placement. (One publisher in this category discloses that it does — honestly — so this is a real practice worth distinguishing ourselves from.)
  • We do not accept free product. We have received nothing from any manufacturer. We also own none of these units, which we are equally direct about on how we review.
  • Commission rate does not affect ranking. Where a cheaper product is the better buy, it ranks above a more expensive one.
  • We will tell you not to buy things. Several pages here argue you should start with a $50 tub and a bag of ice rather than a $900 chiller. That is worse for us and better for you, and it is the whole reason this disclosure is credible.

About the prices you see

Prices come from the Amazon Product API and carry the date they were checked — currently July 16, 2026. They are refreshed daily.

Prices change constantly, and ours can be wrong. The price on Amazon at the moment you click is the real one. If our data goes more than 48hours stale, every number on the site disappears on its own and the buttons fall back to “Check price on Amazon” — because a missing price is honest and a stale one is not.

If this changes

If we ever join another affiliate program, accept a product sample, or take any form of payment from a brand, it will be disclosed in the same sentence as the recommendation— not quietly added to this page. This page will be updated too, but the disclosure will be where you are actually reading.
