By using Ice & Cedar (“the site”), published by Type 5 Marketing LLC, you agree to these terms.

1. Electrical information — read this one

We are not electricians and this site is not electrical design. The circuit calculations we publish are arithmetic applied to manufacturer-published power ratings, with the code sections we relied on cited so you can check them.

They are not a substitute for any of the following, all of which govern over anything here:

• A licensed electrician assessing your actual installation.
• Your local authority having jurisdiction, including local amendments.
• The manufacturer’s listed installation instructions, which take precedence under NEC 110.3(B).

We deliberately do not publish wire gauge or a definitive GFCI determination, because those depend on your specific installation. Use our numbers to know what to ask for — not as a wiring plan. Electrical work carries risk of fire, injury and death; treat it accordingly.

2. Health information — read this one too

We are not doctors and this site is not medical advice. Where we discuss cold water immersion or heat exposure we cite published clinical guidance and peer-reviewed research, and where evidence is mixed we say so.

Cold immersion raises blood pressure and stresses the cardiovascular system, and carries risks including hypothermia, cardiovascular events, skin and nerve damage, and drowning. Published guidance advises against it for people with several conditions. Consult a qualified medical professional before starting cold immersion or heat therapy, particularly if you have any medical condition or are pregnant. You use this information at your own risk.

3. Information accuracy

We work hard to be accurate: every specification is cited to its source and dated, every calculation is shown, and prices come from the Amazon API with a timestamp.

Even so, specifications change without notice, manufacturers publish errors, prices move constantly, and we make mistakes. The site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. The authoritative source for any product is the manufacturer; the authoritative price is the one shown at checkout.

4. Affiliate links

The site contains affiliate links and we earn commissions from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. This is disclosed on every page carrying such a link and in full in our affiliate disclosure.

We are not the seller of any product on this site. Your purchase is a contract between you and the retailer. Delivery, returns, warranty and product liability are theirs, not ours — which is also why we do not publish shipping or return terms for products we do not sell.

5. Third-party links

We link to manufacturers, retailers, code references and research. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.

6. Intellectual property

The text, comparisons, calculations and design of this site are owned by Type 5 Marketing LLC. You may quote from it with attribution and a link. You may not republish it wholesale.

Product images are supplied by Amazon and remain the property of their respective owners; they are served under the Amazon Associates programme and are labeled as supplied.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Type 5 Marketing LLCis not liable for any damages arising from your use of this site or reliance on its information — including decisions about electrical work, purchases, or health practices. That is what sections 1 and 2 are for.
